Fee Structure

Goal – To offer, at no cost, initial project site measurement and pre-design consultation, as well as "project design" services for a reasonable fee.

Determination & Procedure – During the initial conversation with the homeowner about the project(s), we try to determine if a design is required and/or desired. If we believe the project may warrant project design plans, we first inform you that the "initial project site measurement & pre-design visit/consultation is free". However, if at this initial meeting, the estimator and homeowner determine design work (board drawings & suggested material specs., etc.) is necessary/desired*, there will be a fee

Project Design Fee Schedule & Format:

  1. Project Design Work – Conceptual design/board drawings/suggested material specs. Cost Range for Design Services Only is $250-$5,800*.
  2. Project Cost Estimate – At this stage, Harrison Construction, Inc. can provide you with a specific and exact cost quotation which is free of charge.
  3. Project Plans – Client purchase of completed design plans and drawings. Cost Range for Project Plan Purchase is $150 to $1,500**.


ALL ABOVE FEES FOR SERVICES ARE NON REFUNDABLE

 
A deposit of 50% of the design service fee will be collected prior to any design work, with the remaining cost due upon final design presentation and/or final design drawings, if required.

We do not diagram specific cross sections or utility code drawings that may be required for state or city permitting

Use our product knowledge to "guide" you in selecting and specifying materials

We are not licensed to perform Architectural specifications or create Engineered drawings of specific structural details

Share our accumulated wealth & knowledge of our "hand on" years of experience in the professional remodeling industry
 
 
*Without design plan drawings for certain projects, the estimator would be unable to provide a specific and exact cost quotation to the homeowner.

**The reason for separate fees is to benefit (1) the homeowner who may decide not to financially invest further after the plans have been presented and exact cost estimates given and, (2) the homeowner who chooses to purchase the plans can provide them to other contractors, (who may not or cannot provide design plans), for an estimate.
